The Background Story
The Chocolate-Pineapple Sundae

Like most other sundaes, this one is just, plain easy to make ... and so much fun to eat!

We like it best when pineapple is in season.  We lake to take a bit of pineapple, dice it up and serve it with our super easy, super fast Chocolate Sauce.

As with all our sundaes, this chocolate-pineapple sundae uses a generous serving of chocolate - starting with a suggested 1/2 oz (14 grams) of chocolate per serving.  As always, you can adjust all elements to suite your own taste and appetite ... and those of your soon-to-be impressed dinner guests.

We like chopped almonds, best, for this beautiful, easy desert but you can swap the almond for any prefered tree nut or seed.  That's easy enough!  Use walnuts or pecans if you prefer ... or crushed cashews are pretty, darned awesome!  Of course, many will choose the humble peanut and peanuts are a delight as well.

We use a block of ice cream so we will often cut shapes - little blocks of ice cream and stack them in interesting ways.  Scoops are just fine too!

Pick your favourite ice cream and dress it up for the perfect, instant chocolate-pineapple sundae - an ice cream bar favorite!
